Group Holidays Planned – your thoughts please?
Each year we plan 3 to 4 group diving holidays to destinations around the world. These normally include 1 or 2 to the Red Sea as this is one of the best value places in the world and within easy reach of the UK. We then look at one long-haul and then somewhere close like Malta.
Our previous group diving holidays have included Shark Diving liveaboards to the Red Sea, diving with Whale Sharks in Djibouti, Manta Rays in the Maldives, wreck diving holidays, 5 star hotel resorts. This year we are heading to Mexico, Malta and another Shark trip to the Red Sea.
Even though 2015 has only just started we are already planning our trips for the next few years to ensure that we can secure the best boats and hotels. Our current thoughts are:
2016
March – Thailand: 4 night liveaboard and 7 nights in a resort
June – 7 night Red Sea liveaboard – Daedulus & St. Johns shark special
September – Long weekend to Iceland to dive the tectonic plate of Silfra
2017
Galapagos – this trip is already full
South Africa – Sardine Run
Red Sea – Deep South
Other group trips we’d like to run include:
- Maldives – whale sharks and Mantas
- Cocos Islands to see the worlds largest population of schooling hammerheads
- Truk Lagoon, wreck heaven to see the sunken WWII Japanese Fleet
- Great Barrier Reef
- Sipidan and Borneo
- Cuba
- Philippines
