PADI Equipment Specialist Course
DATES: Weekends, or weekdays on request
MINIMUM AGE: 10 years old
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have a PADI Open Water Diver certification or higher.
Dive equipment is an investment, and it’s a good thing to be able to care for your investment properly. On our Equipment specialist course, you will learn how to properly care for your equipment, which will in turn extend the life of your gear.
By completing the PADI Equipment specialist course, you will learn the recommended care and maintenance procedure, storage, common problems and recommended professional maintenance procedures.
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT an equipment repair course.
This course is a dry course, and is completed at our Brighton shop, or online.
Counts as 1 of your 5 specialties towards your Master Scuba Diver specialty.
PADI Equipment Specialty
Don’t miss a dive due to minor issues with your scuba diving equipment. Whether it’s a missing o-ring, wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, the PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You’ll also learn more about how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment.

The Skills You Will Learn on Your PADI Equipment Specialist course
Your training begins by reviewing your practical knowledge of the theory, principles, and operation of diving equipment. Then, you’ll:
- Learn the recommended routine, care and maintenance procedures.
- Be taught how to store equipment properly.
- Get provided simple suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations.
- Be exposed to new equipment.
