As a valued customer, we wanted to update you on the steps Oyster Diving are taking to help minimise the spread of COVID-19.
We are continuing to follow and monitor official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England carefully. It is of vital importance for us to be in a position to ensure that any and all procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of our customers and staff members.
To help combat the spread of COVID-19, we have been putting precautionary safety measures in place, including:
- Educating our staff on prevention
- Emphasizing frequent and proper hand washing
- Cleaning high contact points more frequently
- Providing hand sanitizer
- Wearing face masks when out of dive gear
In line with government guidance, we are continuing to operate as usual. We will continue to keep in touch with you and follow official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England carefully. As a precaution we are asking people to sign a form to say that they have not travelled to any high risk countries in the past 2 weeks, if they suffer from any flu like or respiratory problems then they need to reschedule their course until they have received medical clearance.
No refunds are currently offered but we are happy to reschedule your course for up to 12 months providing that you provide us with at least 72 hours prior to your course commencing.

General Terms and Conditions
All courses require a completed PADI Diving Medical Statement which can be downloaded below. The participant must answer all the questions with ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. If any questions require a “Yes” answer then a signature from a physician on the back of the form is required to confirm the participant is fit to dive. If this is not done prior to attending the course we are unable to allow the participant to dive and cancellation fees will be incurred.
To book the course or trip we require full payment in advance unless an alternative payment scheme is agreed in advance in writing. Once booked your course is non-refundable. If you need to rearrange your course we require at four working days’ notice. If more than four weeks notice is supplied we will be happy to change the course to an alternative date but this is subject to availability. If you change dates between 2 weeks and 48 hours of the start of your course then then there is a £25 admin fee. If you provide less than 48 hours notice then there is a £50 rebooking fee to help cover the costs involved. If you are prevented from attending due to a long term illness or pregnancy (over 6 months) then we will refund the full cost of the course less a £25 administration charge providing you provide a valid and relevant doctor’s letter. Only the person(s) who is/are unfit to dive is entitled to receive a refund, if you will be fit to dive again within 6 months then we we will reschedule your course to a date where you are fit enough to dive. Failure to arrive within 15 minutes of the start of your course will result in the cancellation of your course.
If you have hired a dry suit from us then we will do our best to provide you with the best fitting suit possible. Unfortunately school dry suits will never fit as well as having one you have purchased yourself. We cannot be held responsible for leaks to dry suits.
UK Dive Trips
You must be a qualified diver of at least open water diver to attend any dive trip, or to the level specified on the trip description. You must have dived within the last 12 months, otherwise we will require you take a PADI ReActivate course before the trip, this is at an additional cost. Each diver must carry their own SMB/reel, torch, dive knife/cutting device and dive computer. You are only allowed to dive to the depth you are qualified to i.e. Open Water = 18m, Advanced Open Water = 30m, Deep Spec = 40m. To book your space we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. In the event that the trip is cancelled then you will receive a 100% refund on the cost of the boat fees, or this can be put towards the next trip. Any money for accommodation is dependent on the cancellation terms and conditions of the provider but it is in most cases unlikely to be refundable. You can still use the accommodation if you wish.
