PADI Dry Suit Course

Drysuit Course - Oyster Diving

Unlock Year-Round Adventures with the PADI Dry Suit Course

It’s not diving in cold water that isn’t fun, it’s being cold! Wearing a dry suit keeps you warm and dry throughout your dive. This allows you to stay underwater for longer periods. Unlike James Bond, you won’t be wearing a Tuxedo underneath it. Instead, you’ll have an insulated under-suit to stay comfortable during your training.

The course teaches you the different types of dry suit available and how to use them. It’s very different to diving in a wetsuit. Therefore, we start your course off in shallow water. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you are ready to complete two open water dives. These are conducted in our exclusive inland site, Mercers Lake.

Location

The course takes place at the beautiful Mercers Lake. We are the only dive centre to use the lake. As a result, visibility tends to be much better than other inland sites.

There are plenty of facilities too including café, kitting up area, changing rooms, rinse tanks, and hot showers. This offers comfort and convenience for participants of the dry suit course.

We generally meet at 9.30am and aim to finish around 3pm.
