YOUR PADI DIVING COURSE DETAILS
CHILDREN’S BUBBLEMAKER, SEAL TEAM & SCUBA PARTIES
Thank you for booking your child’s PADI Bubblemaker or Seal Team experience with Oyster Diving.
The Bubblemaker and Seal Team is a fun, safe and exciting introduction to scuba diving, held in the comfort of a swimming pool. It is designed for children aged 8 and above who would like to try something new and experience the amazing feeling of breathing underwater.
During the session, your child will be introduced to basic scuba equipment, learn some simple safety rules and enjoy the sensation of being weightless underwater – a bit like being an astronaut! Many children who enjoy Bubblemaker later go on to complete the Junior PADI Open Water Diver course when they are old enough.
Your instructor will meet you either in reception or by the side of the pool. Please check your booking confirmation email for your course start time and location details.
What to bring
Please bring the following with you:
- Completed PADI Bubblemaker forms
- Swimwear
- Towel
- An old T-shirt that can be worn in the pool
- A bottle of water
- Warm dry clothes for afterwards
All scuba diving equipment will be provided by Oyster Diving.
Important medical information
Before taking part, each child must have completed the required PADI forms, including the medical questionnaire and risk/liability paperwork. If you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions, your child will need written approval from a doctor or medical professional confirming they are fit to dive before they can enter the water.
Swimming ability
Children should be comfortable in the water, but they do not need to be strong swimmers. The session takes place in a swimming pool under the close supervision of a qualified PADI Instructor.
Parents and guardians
A parent or guardian should remain available during the session. Please make sure we have up-to-date emergency contact details for your child before the course begins.
Safety
Your child’s safety is our priority. The session is run by qualified Oyster Diving instructors in line with PADI standards. Students are supervised throughout, and children are never pressured to complete any activity they are not comfortable with.
After the course
If your child loves their Bubblemaker experience, the next step is usually the PADI Seal Team or, once they reach the required age, the Junior PADI Open Water Diver course.
