Intinerary

The waters around Sharm El Sheikh are home to some of the Red Sea’s most celebrated dive sites, attracting divers from all over the world. Here are some of the main sites:

  1. Ras Mohammed National Park
Known for its vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, Ras Mohammed is one of Egypt’s most famous dive areas. The park includes spots like Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef, which offer dramatic drop-offs, schools of fish, and a variety of colorful coral species.
  2. The Straits of Tiran
Located between the Sinai Peninsula and Tiran Island, these four reefs—Gordon, Thomas, Woodhouse, and Jackson—feature stunning underwater landscapes, strong currents, and abundant marine life. This area is ideal for experienced divers who want to encounter pelagic species like barracudas, sharks, and rays.
  3. SS Thistlegorm Wreck
The SS Thistlegorm, a British WWII cargo ship, is one of the most iconic wreck dives in the world. Lying at around 30 meters, the wreck is still packed with wartime artifacts, including trucks, motorcycles, and ammunition, making it an underwater museum with a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere.
  4. Dunraven Wreck
Another historic wreck, the Dunraven, sank in 1876 and is now home to a variety of coral and fish species. It’s a relatively shallow dive, making it accessible to many divers and providing a unique wreck experience within reach.
  5. Temple
Named for its towering coral pinnacles that resemble temple columns, this site is teeming with marine life, from clownfish and moray eels to lionfish and parrotfish. The dramatic rock formations and soft corals make it a stunning and relatively easy dive.
  6. Shark Reef
A picturesque wall dive located within Ras Mohammed National Park, Shark Observatory offers stunning views of both the surface and deep water. The currents here attract larger marine species, giving divers a chance to spot reef sharks, turtles, and barracudas.

These dive sites around Sharm El Sheikh provide something for everyone, from historic wrecks to thriving coral reefs and abundant marine life, making it one of the most diverse diving destinations in the world.
