Mark Murphy
Mark Murphy founded Oyster Diving in 2006 from his dining room table after returning from the Virgin Islands, Thailand and Egypt where he’d been working as a diving instructor. Mark is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Emergency First Response Instructor. He can also teach on a variety of speciality diving courses. In 2010, Mark won Sport Diver magazines ‘Best Diving Instructor’ and in both 2010 and 2012, Oyster Diving won the UK Dive Centre of the Year!
Oyster Diving is an independent and multi-award winning owned PADI Scuba Diving school that has twice won UK Dive Centre of the Year and is now an accredited PADI 5* Dive Centre. In 2017, Oyster Diving won a PADI award of ‘Recognition of Commitment to Diver Acquisition in PADI Training’ and became the first dive centre in the UK to be awarded the PADI ‘Youth Training Facility’.
Since 2012, Oyster Diving have taught some celebrities, including Ben Fogle and Derren Brown, and they’ve even been featured on ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’ – Mark was the underwater Vicar!
