PLAYA DEL CARMEN – The perfect place to start exploring the Riviera Maya from north to south, not to mention Cozumel for the best dive sites in Mexico! The dive center is located directly on the beach at the Royal Hideaway and has ” a welcome point at the Allegro Playacar hotel. Join the adventure, with dives at the best sites of the Riviera Maya such as Cenotes, Barracuda, Tortugas and Mama Viña wreck or dive with sharks bulldogs!

Barracuda reef

In brief: Baracuda lies on the north side of the island, outside of the marine park and close to our Dive Center.

Depth: 70 – 100 ft, Multilevel dive, ±35 min

Currents: Rarely visited due to extremely strong and unpredictable currents.

Skills: EXPERT (Only DM and Up)

Life: Turtles, Eagle rays, Nurse Sharks, schools of Jacks and Barracudas

Dive: Begins at platform inside wall at 70ft. The current will swiftly carry you along a narrow ridge with drop-off to sandy valley on one and abyss on other side.

Bull Shark Point

One of the most exciting deep dives for experienced divers between Dec-Mar.

Depth: 20-45ft/ 6-13m

Currents: Little to none, direction might change rapidly

Skills: Novice

Life: Big variety of sponges, hard coral, fan coral, sea whips, tree-like plans, abundance of marine life, moray eels, schools of fish

Dive: Stroll around the middle reef to observe its hidden creatures, swim along the top of the reef, ensure marking buoy will be sent prior to ascending since located under the boats route

Cenotes
