The Four Seasons Explorer is an intimate, floating resort-like experience offering itineraries that take in remote shores and rarely-visited dive and snorkelling sites in the untouched reaches of the glorious Maldivian atolls.

Three to seven-night cruises, with free full dive gear, take you to manta cleaning stations, to the beautiful garden island of Kuda Huraa and to the unspoiled hideaway of Landaa Giraavaru in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Four Seasons Explorer is 39 m, 3 deck catamaran, 22 guests, 3 dives per day, 1 resident Spa Therapist. Four Seasons Explorer is our most intimate resort experience: a luxurious three-deck catamaran that embarks on 3-, 4- and 7-night cruises, plus Private Leisure, Surf and Manta Ray Charters into the undiscovered Maldives.

Choose from 10 spacious State Rooms and the palatial Explorer Suite, all of which are bright and airy and include the luxury and style you expect from Four Seasons Explorer. All cabins are bathed in natural light from large port windows, your room boasts contemporary teak furnishings and Indian fabrics in calming tones. air-conditioned, with an en-suite bathroom that features a bathtub/shower. Curl up on your sofa, select something from the refrigerated private Bar or enjoy a movie on the flat screen LCD TV, all in the comfort of your State Room or Explorer Suite.

This private cruise experience goes far beyond the normal beach escape. With ample on-board activities and a choice of three, four or seven night cruises, Four Seasons Explorer offers an unforgettable vacation for Divers and Non-Divers alike. Children over the age of 10 years are welcome.

The catamaran features spacious State Rooms and a beautifully appointed Explorer Suite, two Sun Decks with a jetted tub on the Second Deck, a Restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, a Bar, Lounge and Library.

Due to the unique nature of the Explorer, a casual dress code is observed on board. Shorts and sundresses are acceptable at dinner. Guests are encouraged to be barefooted or wear rubber-soled footwear for their personal comfort.

The indoor Lounge is ideal for relaxing after dinner – to swap stories, review the day’s underwater highlights captured by the resident Videographer or curl up with a book, magazine, DVD, music or board game from the Library. Drinks and refreshments are available throughout the day.

The Four Seasons Explorer’s indoor Bar area features comfy sofas adjacent to a relaxing lounge area. A second Bar seats you outdoors on the sheltered Lower Sundeck.

FOOD AND CUISINE

Aboard the Four Seasons Explorer, each day begins with an array of buffet and à la carte breakfast choices. Lunch and Dinner menus change daily, themed on regional creations from India, the Maldives, Asia, Europe and the Americas – always with fresh ingredients, gourmet flourishes and complimented by a surprisingly extensive wine list. Dine in the air-conditioned Dining Room or its al fresco area.

Meals are all-inclusive – with the exception of alcoholic beverages – and vary between buffet and table service, shared in the company of other passengers. Sit down to an intimate feast in the company of the Explorer’s Captain. Beach Barbecues – Live out your Robinson Crusoe fantasy over a sumptuous meal prepared on one of the Maldives’ remote, white sand beaches.

Scuba Heaven. Our on-board PADI 5-Star Dive Centre and dive vessel make the most secluded sites in the Maldives easily accessible.

For Non Divers or inbetween dives Otake advantage of the experienced on-board Massage Therapist who provides world-class natural therapies inspired by Asia’s ancient healing principles. Retreat to the private treatment area on the Upper Deck – curtained for privacy yet open to the refreshing sea air – or indulge in a massage at one of the secluded beaches visited during the cruise. Treatment highlights include the restorative and deeply relaxing Indian herbal-oil massage and the hydrating and refreshing sun-soother wrap, with fresh aloe vera and toning lavender mist. Fees apply.

Take to the waves with Waterskiing, Wakeboarding, Windsurfing, Fun Tubes and Kayaking. Smaller waves between January and March offer optimal conditions for Wakeboarding and Waterskiing. All watersports are available on request, subject to currents and conditions.

Venture out by dhoni for some bottom-line fishing, fish from the back of Four Seasons Explorer each night or indulge in handline fishing off the vessel at sunset.

Savour gourmet Four Seasons cuisine on uninhabited islands, embark on an adventure with our Marine Biologist, cast yourself away on a secluded sandbank or visit remote villages for cultural experiences and souvenir shopping – even enjoy a game of football or rugby on a sandy beach.
