The Bahamas Master offers the following itineraries:
Tiger Beach (5 or 7 nights)
One of the best places in the world to get a close encounter with tiger and lemon sharks. With a white sandy bottom and a shallow depth of around 7m it means long bottom time and a great way to capture these amazing creatures. Ultimate Bahamas Experience
Hammerhead and Tiger Shark Experience (7 or 10 nights)
Hammerhead and Tiger Shark Experience covers the best of the West End of Grand Bahama Island. Expect to see lots of sharks including hammerheads, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, tiger sharks, and even bull sharks, as well as dolphins, rays, grouper, turtles and octopus. Other dive sites include Hawksbill Reef where the turtles rest at 15 meters on the sandy bottom and Alice Island where you can dive with over 50 sting rays and experience the fast and agile black nose shark.
This 7 night liveaboard adventure allows 18-20 dives including several night dives (depending on conditions). In some areas, the diving is comparatively shallow and ‘open platform’ diving may be offered after the scheduled shark dives to allow guests to dive at their leisure up until sunset.
Wrecks, Blue Hole and Sharks (7 and 10 nights)
The 7 or 10 night Wrecks, Blue Hole and Sharks itinerary combines the finest shark diving on Tiger Beach near Grand Bahama Island with wreck diving off the South-West coast of New Providence, plus a spectacular Blue Hole off the East coast of Andros Island. This itinerary offers a wide variety of dives and possible encounters. Expect to see lots of sharks including oceanic whitetip, hammerheads, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, tiger sharks, and even the occasional bullshark.
This liveaboard adventure allows up to 4 dives per day including sunset or night dives (depending on conditions and weather). In some areas, such as Tiger Beach the diving is comparatively shallow and ‘open platform’ diving may be offered after the scheduled shark dives to allow guests to dive at their leisure up until sunset.
The Ultimate Bahamas Experience (14 nights)
The Ultimate Bahamas Experience covers the best of the West End of Grand Bahama Island as well as Cat Island and Pig Beach to the southeast. Expect to see lots of sharks including oceanic whitetip, hammerheads, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, tiger sharks, even bull sharks, and swimming and/or snorkelling with pigs!
This 14 night liveaboard adventure allows up to 4 dives per day including several night dives (depending on conditions). In some areas the diving is comparatively shallow and ‘open platform’ diving may be offered in the afternoon to allow guests to dive at their leisure up until sunset. This does not apply to Cat Island.
Dolphin and Tiger Shark Combo (7 nights)
Dolphin and Tiger Shark Combo covers the best of the West End of Grand Bahama Island plus White Sands Ridge, which is famous for swimming and snorkelling with pods of Atlantic spotted and bottlenose dolphins. If the dolphins stay around, you may even get to dive with them. Expect to see lots of sharks including hammerheads, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, tiger sharks, and even bull sharks.
This 7 night liveaboard adventure allows between 18-20 dives including several night dives (depending on conditions). In some areas, the diving is comparatively shallow and ‘open platform’ diving may be offered after the scheduled shark dives to allow guests to dive at their leisure up until sunset.
The diving day aboard the Bahamas Master is scheduled as follows:
- Light Breakfast followed by Dive 1
- Full Breakfast, relaxation period, Dive 2
- Lunch, relaxation period, Dive 3, then open dive deck/open pool
- Dive 4, sunset/night dive where possible
- Dinner is served after sunset and before night dive
Scheduled dives are baited or feeding dives. Dive sites are mainly specific shark diving spots on sandy bottoms. On scheduled dives, the divers are lined up in the sand to watch the shark action. In some areas the diving is comparatively shallow and ‘open platform’ diving may be offered after the scheduled shark dives to allow guests’ to dive at their leisure up until sunset. Sunset/night dives are dependent on the location and the weather and therefore not guaranteed.
