  • Three Spacious Cabins: Each cabin offers privacy and comfort. The queen-size beds can be converted into two singles using a simple divider panel.
  • Ensuite Baths: Glass showers, fresh-water flush toilets, and ample storage are included. Modern Amenities: Individually controlled air-conditioning, LED lighting, and USB reading lamps.
  • Main Deck Cabin: Fresh air flows through two large, operable screened windows. Get ready for a cozy and convenient stay aboard MY Basilisk!

  • Main Level – Aft Deck: This 95 m² (1050 sq. ft.) space is the heart of activity onboard. Most meals are served under the big awning on a red maple table, where snacks are also available, and games can be played. Additionally, this area serves as a storage spot for cameras and dive/snorkel equipment.
  • Upper Level – Fly Deck. After a day full of adventure, relax in sun or shade on top where cocktails are served with the best views of often spectacular sunsets. While underway, this area also doubles as a lookout perch for dolphins, whales, giant mantas, soaring boobies and the occasional surprise guest, an appearance of a sleepy owl, an imperious hawk or other avians on a seasonal migratory voyage.
  • Lower Level – Dive Pontoon - The dive, snorkel, and land excursions are reached by tender from this location. The adjacent Dive Room houses technical equipment including 2 Coltri compressors with filling station and tank racks, 2 fresh water pumps, and 2 RO Water-makers.

Truk is best known for its world-class wreck diving and with over 60 wrecks, from supply vessels (Maru) to planes and a submarine, tightly packed into a coral reef lagoon. It is easy to appreciate why divers travel to this area time and time again. During WWII, the Japanese fleet used Truk as one of their main staging points for attacks on the allied forces but in 1944 the American led “Operation Hailstone” surprised the fleet resulting in the plethora of dive sites which we can see there today. Many historical artifacts such as medicine bottles and newspapers along with articles of war, which include aircraft wings for the Zero Fighter planes, tanks, guns, gas masks and ammunition, can still be found at many of the sites., whilst the wrecks themselves are encrusted with corals, you can still clearly see telegraphs, steering columns and mounted guns. There is also the opportunity to explore engine rooms and holds. Surrounded by a coral reef, there are many excellent coral pinnacles and deep channels with schooling pelagics too! Because the country is so small and remote, it is one of the least visited countries in the world as per the United Nations World Tourism Organisation report. It ranks behind the Marshall Islands (6000 visitors) but ahead of Solomon Islands (22,000 visitors). The FSM registers less than 19,000 visitors every year and most of them are going there for diving. The chances are you’ve never heard of the FSM if you are not a diver. Go ahead test it on your colleagues and families! At Master Liveaboards, we tend to take you to rather special places!

Guadalupe Great White Cage Diving
£3,835.00

Each day we will be doing 3-4 submersible dives and with only 5 boats having permits to dive here we believe we have picked the best boat and best value. Non-divers are welcome and can also do shallow water shark cage dives. Just the scenery alone at Guadalupe is quite stunning and feels almost like Jurassic park, as if you are at the edge of the earth in the deepest, darkest and most remote part of the pacific. It doesn’t matter if you are a super experienced diver who has seen almost everything, a first-time shark diver or a non-diver braving our shark cages, all are welcome! The boat caters to a wide variety of dive skill levels and interests – ultimately, it is always about the diving experience. We will arrive on site the evening before diving starts, to ensure we have a nice calm dinner, a peaceful quiet sleep, and as early a start as you wish on your first dive day. Sleeping in and having a late breakfast is  encouraged!! It’s your holiday after all. The boat crew put in as many cages in the water as needed to provide “freestyle shark diving”, which means that certified divers always get 3 or more submersible cage dives and everyone gets virtually unlimited diving in the surface cages. There is none of this regimented “hour in/hour out” tightly-scheduled diving that other boats offer. The cages open early and stay open late. We will also get a full dive day on our last day of the liveaboard. After this we will transfer by bus to nearby San Diego where you can relax at the hotel or have a go at some of the spectacular local dive sites that include kelp fields, mako sharks, wrecks and blue sharks.
